About Your Pottery

All of our pottery is wheel-thrown by hand using Laguna B-Mix or porcelain, then high-fired to about 2232°F for lasting strength and durability. This firing process fully vitrifies the clay, making it dense, non-porous, and safe for everyday use.

Each piece is finished with food-safe commercial glazes, creating pottery that’s both beautiful and practical — made to be used, loved, and enjoyed in daily life.

Our ceramics are microwave safe and dishwasher safe, so you can use them freely and confidently at home.

Everyday Use & Care Tips

  • Microwave Use
You can safely reheat food and beverages in your pottery. Just avoid sudden temperature changes — for example, don’t move a piece straight from the fridge into a hot microwave.
  • Dishwasher Use
All pieces can be washed in the dishwasher. For extra care, load them so they don’t bump into other items during the cycle.
  • Thermal Shock
Handmade ceramics are strong, but sudden temperature changes can cause stress or cracking. Try to let your pottery warm or cool gradually — don’t place a hot piece on a cold counter or into cold water.
  • Cleaning
Use mild dish soap and a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid harsh abrasives or metal scrubbers that could dull the glaze over time.

What to Avoid

  • Direct flame, stovetop, or broiler use.
  • Extreme temperature changes (like freezer to microwave).
  • Abrasive cleaning pads or harsh chemicals.

A Note on Handmade Work

Each piece is made by hand, so small variations in color, shape, or surface are part of what make it unique. Over time, your pottery may develop a soft, natural patina — a quiet reflection of daily use and the beauty of handmade life.
